Holy moly! A few days back one of my most used programs started to fail. As a result of this, all my video’s are gone. If you are visiting my blog and videos are not showing … I am working on a fix.
Sometimes software disappears. And sometimes a general change in how browsers handle requests can cause problems.
Missing SSL certificates on other sites can cause the problem. The software sites that have an SSL certificate that is out of date becomes unreachable. SSL by itself is a good thing. But in this case, it is causing my site problem.
What is SSL? In short, it is a certificate that shows that the site you are visiting is really the site you are visiting. You recognize it by https:// in front of an URL and a little lock icon.
That is what happened on my site: My favorite tool Coëmbed became unreachable and therefore unusable and worse … all my videos unviewable. (even on sales pages on strategic places abstracted to they eye now)
And I can’t reach the developers.
So. I am working on it; My site is not abandoned.
But it makes me realize (again) not to rely on just one piece of software too much.
That’s why I have more than ones bought two different software pieces that does the same but from different vendors so when one fails, I use the other.
UPDATE: All posts are up again.
Take action and succeed (But it takes some time now and then)
